Paraben Free

Lately, parabens have become controversial ingredients in the cosmetic field, there are some who defends and who confirm their adverse effects. Reality today is that there are 3 types of parabens. Some are allowed to use, others are banned and others, controlled. However, the European Commission for Cosmetics continues increasingly restricting their use. Indeed, in September 18, 2014 they issued a new statement regarding the use of parabens, limiting even more their use. For this reason, we have already decided to make a commitment to manufacture Paraben Free cosmetics.

Here we give a few names of parabens, so that you can recognize in cosmetic formulas, if you decide to use cosmetics without parabens:

  • Parahidroxibenzoato
  • Butilparaben
  • Metilparaben
  • Etilparaben
  • Propilparaben
  • Isobutylparabens

and usually are in the bottom of the list of ingredients and ending in -paraben.

Why avoid parabens?

Investigations have linked them to diseases such as cancer, endocrine disruption, reproductive toxicity, immunotoxicity, neurotoxicity and skin irritation.

They are absorbed through the skin and found in breast tumors in intact states. Although researchers have no evidence that parabens cause breast cancer, they believe their estrogenic properties may accelerate tumor growth. This hormonal disorder can affect fetal development.
